Dr. Robert Burrell is an Assistant Professor of Interdisciplinary Studies at Joint Special Operations University. A retired U.S. Marine with combat experience, he has served across the Asia-Pacific and completed a diplomatic tour at the U.S. Embassy in Australia. His scholarship focuses on international diplomacy, human intelligence, and military history, theory, and doctrine. He previously taught at the U.S. Naval Academy and served as editor-in-chief of special operations doctrine.
