Colonel Josh R. Aldred is Commander of the 325th Mission Support Group, 325th Fighter Wing, Tyndall Air Force Base, Florida, where he leads 1,330 personnel supporting the 23,000-member Tyndall community and manages $6.4 billion in infrastructure.
Col Aldred earned his bachelor’s degree and commission from Northern Arizona University in 2003 and is a graduate of the U.S. Army War College’s Carlisle Scholars Program. His previous assignments include Deputy Department Head and Assistant Professor of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the U.S. Air Force Academy and command of the 366th Civil Engineer Squadron and 368th Training Squadron. He has also served at Kunsan Air Base, with the 819th RED HORSE Squadron, and on the Khowst Provincial Reconstruction Team in Afghanistan. He began his Air Force career at Dyess Air Force Base as Readiness Flight Commander for the 7th Civil Engineer Squadron.
